This report provides model simulations of various scenarios of an economic unification of the Republic of Ireland with Northern Ireland.
Modelling required the creation of a unique econometric model (NIROI) in form of a multi-sector, multi-region dynamically recursive computable general equilibrium model (CGE). This is the first quantitative modelling using such an approach.
